Home Library Service Volunteer Urgently Required!

A Home Library Service Volunteer is being sought to deliver some reading material to a borrower in Charfield.  The borrower previously received deliveries via the Mobile Library, but as this service is no longer available Yate Library is looking for a local person to become a Volunteer.

The role would involve regular visits (usually 4-weekly) to the borrower to deliver new reading material and to return used books to a South Gloucestershire library.

Home Library Service Volunteers will need to fill in an application form, provide two referees and have proof of Right to Work in the UK.  As the Volunteer will be visiting a vulnerable adult, a DBS Check will also need to be carried out.

If you feel you can help and spare some time please contact yate.library@southglos.gov.uk or the Clerk for more information.
