Recently retired, I am a chartered accountant with many years experience of working on projects large and small in the public and private sectors, including procurement and budget negotiations. I like to think I have a good head for numbers and I enjoy working in collaboration with others to solve problems.

I have lived in Charfield for almost 20 years and South Gloucestershire for over 50 years. I know the area very well and take a keen interest in how we are going to manage the challenges and opportunities that are facing our village in the coming years. Being an enthusiastic walker and cyclist I am regularly reminded how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful part of the country and we need to do all we can to protect and enhance the environment we live in.

I am a blood and platelet donor of 35 years standing and recently notched up my 300th donation – If you can give please do as the need is constant!

I love living in Charfield and I’m always impressed by the level of community spirit that is regularly in evidence.  I think there is a vital role for the Parish Council in fostering that by making the best use of the funds and influence that it has at its disposal and that is the reason I decided to become a councillor.
